The Union is Cabbagetown's community centre for the yogic arts. Here yoga students gain an authentic healing experience by sharing wisdom and practice without the pressures of social barriers and cultural constructs. Yoga is therapeutic, grounding and empowering, regardless of finances, age, heritage, or fitness level!
The Union embraces the traditions of yoga and creates social change by offering the opportunity for people from all walks of life to participate in their community's events – whether a yoga class, workshop or art show – as equals because the programming is affordable. Basically, there is a balanced ratio of market-rate to suggested-donation class prices, which encourages people (you) to do more yoga.

'Dr. David Frawley says Pratyahara involves withdrawal [prati] from wrong foods, while opening to right ones, in three types of food [ahara]: physical nourishment, impressions delivered by the senses, and relationships that feed the soul.'
Set at rustic Kimbercote Farm in the Beaver Valley, this perfect little away-trip provides an opportunity to turn away from ahara of city life, towards ahara of peace-bringing, health-oriented yogic arts.
