The Union is Cabbagetown's community centre for the yogic arts. Here yoga students gain an authentic healing experience by sharing wisdom and practice without the pressures of social barriers and cultural constructs. Yoga is therapeutic, grounding and empowering, regardless of finances, age, heritage, or fitness level!
The Union embraces the traditions of yoga and creates social change by offering the opportunity for people from all walks of life to participate in their community's events – whether a yoga class, workshop or art show – as equals because the programming is affordable. Basically, there is a balanced ratio of market-rate to suggested-donation class prices, which encourages people (you) to do more yoga.
Deborah is available at the Union Wednesdays and Fridays, 3:30 – 6:30, from 24 September through 15 October, to let people in to see the show, so if you’re in the neighborhood...

Local Ayurvedic Practitionner and Yoga Teacher, Matthew Remskidescribes the health and socio-political perspective: "Raw milk is lauded in ancient Ayurvedic cookery as the holiest of foods -- the only animal product that is given out of love for the calf, and, by extension, the cow's general love and tolerance for balanced humans. Raw milk is the primary builder of childhood, sustainer of the householder, and nourisher of the aging.
